Taking time out to observe and contemplate your surroundings can be refreshing and grounding.

The selection of artworks we have chosen for this session invites us to look out into the landscape, feel the sun and breeze, and focus our attention on being present.

The selection of artworks we have chosen for this session invites us to appreciate little moments of joy in our lives.

The selection of artworks we have chosen for this session invites us to reflect on our subjective responses to colour and become aware of the impact of colour on our lives.

Realising an artistic vision involves the process of experimentation, where materials are transformed to communicate an idea, emotion, narrative or theme responding to our external or internal ‘world’. Art can draw our attention to finding inspiration in our world if we can take the time to reflect on the artist’s vision.

Connecting with the natural world allows us to reflect on our own place in the environment, to consider impermanence, the cycles of growth, regeneration and decline, and the interconnection between systems.

The quality of being curious is an element of the creative process where an artist’s inquisitiveness leads to the exploration of ideas, subject matter and develop a language to express and communicate. Creative practices involve the capacity to experiment and contemplate an ideal with imagination and vision.

The selection of artworks we have chosen for this session invites us to observe closely, reflect on our senses and become aware of moments where we engage with creativity in tasks in our daily lives.

An artist may have a direct experience, such as a walk through the Australian bush or a stroll by the beach to awaken innermost affinities with nature. Through looking, understanding light and colour to then processing ideas and feelings into a form of expressive communication.

The selection of artworks we have chosen for this session invites us to observe closely, reflect on our senses and become aware of moments where we experience the natural environment and have a personal connection with places.

Sharing is a fundamental element of human interaction and is responsible for strengthening social connections and supporting our well-being.

Sharing can be the joint use of a resource or space. Still more loosely, ‘sharing’ can actually mean giving something as abstract as time and personal stories.

The selection of artworks we have chosen for this session invites us to observe closely, reflect on our senses and become aware of moments when we engage with others in our daily lives.

Experiencing a connection to others through shared experiences and or a connection to a place where we feel safe to contribute promotes a sense of belonging.

Engaging in shared community experiences can strengthening social connections and support our well-being in our working life, social and leisure time.

The selection of artworks we have chosen for this session invites us to observe closely, reflect on our senses and become aware of moments when we engage with others in our daily lives.

Creating time for reflection in our lives is important in developing self-awareness. Allowing us to consider neutrally our thoughts, feelings, emotions, and actions. In turn, we are able to look at ourselves with interest and curiosity.

The selection of artworks we have chosen for this session invites us to observe closely, reflect on our senses and allow us to contemplate being still and looking inwards.
