The supply of agricultural produce is subject to natural disasters and human interaction. My body of work uses the traditional aesthetic of oil painting to express the disruption of our food sources throughout the past three years. The work starts by representing an abundant supply of fruit, filling the entire canvas, then progresses as the produce slowly disappears. My intent in presenting the canvases unconventionally in cardboard fruit boxes was to unify the paintings and highlight the importance of the supply of fruit and vegetables for so many industries within Australia.
