Olivia Driver Reflections

Reflections is a series of monochromatic paintings focusing on modern homes and the reflections they cast in backyard pools. Recent social restrictions have led us to reflect on many levels. My body of work represents our personal reflections while commenting on changing domestic architectural trends in Australia. The reflections in these idealised scenes are painted in fluorescent acrylic of the same hue as each house to create an eerie aesthetic of perfect geometric shapes. Pastel colours contrast with the darker photographic images.
