A romantic summer getaway alone is intended to be a journey into my soul, a self-portrait that transcends physical reality to examine my inner world, and beyond. A mythical hero represents the complexities and abstraction of nostalgia and psyche, expressed through the literality of character design and storytelling. My body of work draws on the aesthetic and tropes of video games, leaving clues for audiences to connect and interact with the characters. While I appear to be exposing my 'heart on my sleeve', the title shows that my work is for me alone, with layered secrets for my eyes only.
