Rocks hold the history of the earth and are the foundations of its future. My unique forms expose a range of textures, colours and visual possibilities, inspired by the potential to mould clay and manipulate materials, creating distinctive surfaces. The rocks were an organic inspiration, turned obsession. I travelled to new and familiar destinations, each telling an individual story, like a fingerprint. I explored rock-dominated landscapes such as Cabbage Tree Island, Bundeena, Jenolan Caves, Burralow, Blue Mountains, Cox’s River and Turimetta Beach, resulting in a rich visual journey.
