Christopher Crea Viewfinder: looking through little lense

Work by Christopher Crea

Within my body of work I have utilised the mediums of photography, digital imaging and sculpture to study the landscape as documented through the lens of a camera. The vast expanse of the scene that is admired by the audience is contained in a small radius as allowed by the camera lens. The isolated scenes distort and displace elements of landscapes and seascapes to challenge a conventional photographic view. The audience is able to experience the beauty of the sea as a small snapshot of the panoramic horizon that explores and challenges perceptions of reality.
